What Am I?

Hello dear reader,

Today is Monday the 13th, which for me is doubly worse than Friday the 13th. I am not superstitious, I just don't like Monday's. We are drawing close to the halfway point of #NaPoWriMo2015, and I have to admit that I look forward to the end. I don't believe that my writing has been up to par. I guess my biggest consolation is that I am writing. Bad writing is better than no writing at all.

Today we were given a prompt, but rather than tell you what the prompt is, just read the poem. I am sure that I am not clever enough to fool you, but at least I had a bit of fun. I hope you enjoy today's offering.

It is a mystery to me,
the answer to
a question.

Ask not, for
I will not reveal
my knowledge.

An enigma,
a conundrum…
whatever shall we do?

I hide my truth
within,
I hope to remain
veiled.

Revealing one’s
integrity
demands that
double meanings
limit the
experience.

There is
no paradox
nor puzzle.

The truth lies
within the letters
I write.

  1. I like this. Sometimes one doesn't know, but knows that and writes thusly. :-) This is good, Rod!!
